Heavy Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Actros Trucks Mechanic to join our team in Mombasa. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Mercedes Actros trucks, with strong technical and reporting skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on Actros Mercedes trucks.
2. Perform routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and breakdown repairs.
3. Read, interpret, and apply technical manuals, engineering drawings, and repair documentation.
4. Specify, source, and ensure the use of quality spare parts and consumables.
5. Maintain accurate service and repair records, and prepare detailed technical reports.
6. Ensure compliance with safety standards and workshop best practices.
7. Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest technical improvements.

Technical Competencies

1. Minimum 3 years’ proven experience working with Actros Mercedes trucks, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and general mechanical systems.
2. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
3. Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings, and service manuals.
4. Knowledge of spare parts specification and quality standards.
5. Proficiency in preparing repair reports and effective verbal communication.
6. Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related qualification.
