Hydra / Crane Operator

Platinum Outsourcing & Logistics (EA) Limited wishes to notify any interested person with relevant skills and abilities to serve in aforementioned post to tender in his/her application in accordance with Job description and requirements below:

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate hydra cranes safely and efficiently during lifting, loading, unloading, and positioning of heavy equipment and materials.

• Assist in the lifting, installation, and movement of machinery and other components within the factory.

• Conduct routine pre-operation inspections and report mechanical defects promptly.

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety procedures during all lifting operations.

• Maintain proper records of equipment inspections, operations, and maintenance activities.

• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, riggers, and other team members to ensure safe and timely completion of assigned tasks.

• Ensure proper care and deadlines of the crane and associated lifting equipment.

Qualifications.

• KCSE certificate or equivalent qualification.

• Relevant training and proven experience in operating hydra cranes or mobile cranes, preferably in FMCG or industrial environment.

• Valid operator's licence, (Glass G) or certification, as applicable.

• Knowledge of load limits, lifting procedures, rigging practices, and workplace safety requirements.

• Ability to conduct basic equipment checks and identify mechanical faults.

• Good communication skills, discipline, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
