Job Summary


The sales Agronomist will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives of the assigned territory by promoting and selling products through professional sales techniques and long-term customer relationships.


Roles And Responsibilities


  1. Develop and implement a proper framework for selling  agronomy products.
  2. Ensure current customers have the right  product knowledge and services.
  3. Identify and develop new markets and customer leads, and pitch to prospective customers.
  4. Carry out field visits to meet farmers, distributors and other stakeholders as required, and make presentations on products range.
  5. Collect and analyze relevant market information and formulate an appropriate response strategy.
  6. Manage  
  7. Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products and communicate timely to the office.
  8. Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
  9. Prepare written presentations, technical and business reports.
  10. Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on all your activities as may be prescribed.
  11. Provide follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products.
  12. Timely follow up and handling of customer complaints.
  13. Follow up on payment plans/debt collections.


Academic and Professional Qualification


  1. Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture.


Work Experience


Minimum of two years’ experience in Agro chemical industry


Additional Skills


  1. Must be computer literate.
  2. Valid Diving License.
  3. Willing to travel widely.
  4. Able to work in a team.
  5. Sales & Marketing skills will be added advantage.
