Job Summary
The sales Agronomist will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives of the assigned territory by promoting and selling products through professional sales techniques and long-term customer relationships.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a proper framework for selling agronomy products.
- Ensure current customers have the right product knowledge and services.
- Identify and develop new markets and customer leads, and pitch to prospective customers.
- Carry out field visits to meet farmers, distributors and other stakeholders as required, and make presentations on products range.
- Collect and analyze relevant market information and formulate an appropriate response strategy.
- Manage
- Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products and communicate timely to the office.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
- Prepare written presentations, technical and business reports.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on all your activities as may be prescribed.
- Provide follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products.
- Timely follow up and handling of customer complaints.
- Follow up on payment plans/debt collections.
Academic and Professional Qualification
- Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture.
Work Experience
Minimum of two years’ experience in Agro chemical industry
Additional Skills
- Must be computer literate.
- Valid Diving License.
- Willing to travel widely.
- Able to work in a team.
- Sales & Marketing skills will be added advantage.
