TRUCK DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Platinum Outsourcing Logistics ( E.A ) has vacant positions for: Truck Drivers under the Operations Department
2. The Truck Driver will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of truck/trailer as per the work plan to realize set performance target.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive and operate safely the assigned truck.
2. Transfer cargo from one point to another as directed.
3. Adhere to national traffic rules and regulations
4. Promptly update work ticket entries and ensure it is always up to date.
5. Check the physical and general condition of truck and ensure cleanliness.
6. Carry out pre-shift vehicle inspection.
7. Communicate immediately of any breakdown or problems to Superiors.
8. Always adheres to safe working and housekeeping procedures.
9. Utilizes equipment optimally to achieve set targets.
10. Carry out any other duties that may be assigned through the transport supervisor in charge from time to time.

REQUREMENTS   & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum of a KCSE certificate or its equivalent.
2. Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years with experience driving  trucks or similar vehicles.
3. Punctual, reliable and trustworthy.
4. Strong attention to details.
5. Effective verbal and listening skills.
6. Defensive driving certification

1. Meet set cargo dispatch targets
2. Compliance with vehicle operation regulations.
3. Efficient and accident-free vehicle operation.
4. Timely and efficient response to operational incidents and accidents.
5. Timely efficient completion of work.
